1. What types of events can you host at Glow Langley?

Pretty much any gathering that could use a little more Christmas.

Glow is open to hosting a wide range of events, including:

  • Corporate Christmas parties
  • Staff appreciation events
  • Employee family nights
  • Client appreciation events
  • Birthday parties
  • Weddings
  • Family gatherings
  • Community gatherings
  • Private Christmas celebrations
  • School Trips

Whether you’re bringing colleagues together, celebrating a milestone, entertaining clients, or gathering a community, Glow can work with you to create an event around your group.

The event doesn’t have to fit into a pre-set corporate mold. The Glow team works with customers to help make the event successful.

2. What private event spaces are available?

Glow offers two smaller private spaces for groups:

The Glow Lounge

The Glow Lounge accommodates up to 60 guests and provides a private, heated space where groups can gather, eat, socialize, and make the evening their own.

The Igloo

For smaller gatherings, the heated outdoor igloo accommodates up to 10 guests.

It gives a small group its own cozy space while keeping the festival experience just outside.

Both options give groups a private place to gather while the main festival remains open to the public.

3. How does the Glow Lounge work?

The Glow Lounge is a private gathering space for groups of up to 60 people.

It’s heated and decorated, with bar tables and lounge seating. Customers can also customize the space themselves to suit their event.

Glow doesn’t provide any specific decorations or customization, but you can bring your own decorations and make the space fit your celebration.

The lounge can work as:

  • A place to gather before exploring the festival
  • A private dining area
  • A space for speeches or presentations
  • A place for employees and families to socialize
  • A home base throughout the evening

For groups wanting additional event support, Glow Lounge Plus Service can help coordinate the details.

4. What is Glow Lounge Plus?

Glow Lounge Plus Service is designed for groups that want help creating and coordinating their event.

For a $300 flat fee, Plus Service includes a private Glow Lounge for groups of up to 60 guests, a special event-ticket discount code, personal support from the Glow team, and access to exclusive add-ons.

The Plus Service team can work with you on:

  • Food and catering
  • Event planning
  • Entertainment add-ons
  • Glow Bucks
  • Santa visits
  • Princess visits
  • Other event details

Glow works with you to build something that fits your group.

There are two ways to book the Glow Lounge. The biggest difference is how much help you want with the event.

Basic Service keeps things simple. Plus Service gives you more support and access to additional event options.

6. What can you do with the private event space?

You can make the space fit your event.

Customers can decorate and customize the Glow Lounge themselves, while Glow works with the group to help make the event successful.

If you are planning a more structured corporate event, AV equipment can also be arranged for an additional fee, including:

  • Projector
  • Screen
  • Speakers
  • Microphone

This means the lounge can accommodate more than simply eating and socializing. Companies can also incorporate speeches, presentations, awards, or other organized portions of their event.

7. Can you bring your own food or cake?

Outside cake is welcome, but outside food and beverages need to be planned with Glow in advance.

Glow can work with customers to create a food or catering plan that suits their event, including accommodating dietary restrictions.

If you’re planning to bring something from outside, please coordinate it with Glow beforehand.

And importantly, alcohol is not permitted.

8. Can Glow accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes. Glow can work with the customer to create a food plan that accommodates dietary restrictions.

Because food plans are worked out between Glow and the customer, the exact options depend on the needs of the event.

9. What food and catering options are available?

There isn’t a single fixed menu for every group event.

Glow works with the customer to create a food or catering plan based on the event.

That means the food can be planned around:

  • The size of the group
  • The type of event
  • Dietary requirements
  • What the customer wants to serve
  • The overall event plan

The exact food options and arrangements depend on what Glow and the customer work out together.

10. What entertainment can you add to a group event?

Glow Lounge Plus groups can add extra experiences to make the event more personal.

Available options include:

Santa

Santa visits are available for both corporate and private events, making them particularly useful for employee family nights and children’s celebrations.

Princess

Princess visits are also available for group events.

Glow Bucks

Glow Bucks can give guests spending money to use toward food, drinks, and vendor goods during their visit.

These additions let the organizer tailor the experience to the people attending rather than simply booking a room and leaving it at that.

11. Can you use AV equipment for a corporate event?

Yes. AV equipment can be made available for an additional fee upon request.

Available equipment includes:

  • Projector
  • Screen
  • Speakers
  • Microphone

This makes the Glow Lounge suitable for events that include presentations, speeches, awards, or other organized programming.

12. What about smaller groups?

For smaller gatherings, Glow’s heated igloos offer a cozy private space for up to 8 guests, right in the middle of the festival.

Each igloo has its own name and theme, with comfortable furniture, cushions, blankets, and a space heater to keep your group warm while you take in the Glow experience around you.

At $20 per hour, the igloo offers a cozy experience for small groups looking to improve their experience.

13. Can you rent the entire Glow festival?

Yes. For very large events, Glow can be rented privately as an entire festival.

Full-festival rentals are available by specific request for groups of at least 500 people.

This is designed for significantly larger events and requires at least two months’ notice.

The festival would otherwise remain open to the public, so a full-festival rental is the option for organizations that want the entire experience privately.

Full-festival events

  • Minimum: 500 guests
  • Minimum notice: 2 months
  • Private use of the entire festival
  • Higher pricing than standard group bookings
  • Available by inquiry

14. Does a group booking make the festival private?

Not normally.

For standard group bookings, the festival remains open to the public.

Your group has a private Glow Lounge or igloo, but there is no private entrance into the festival.

If you want the entire festival to yourself, a full-festival booking is available for groups of 500+ guests with at least two months’ notice.

15. Can the group customize its event?

Yes. Glow is open to working with customers to make their event successful.

The customer can customize the Glow Lounge themselves, while the Glow team can work with the group on the broader event, including food, entertainment, and other arrangements.

There is also some flexibility around group size. The stated maximum is firm, while the minimum has more flexibility depending on the circumstances.

For the private Glow Lounge, the standard maximum is 60 people.

For the igloo, the maximum is 8 people.

16. Can the guest list change after booking?

Yes.

Glow allows some flexibility if the guest count changes after the initial booking.

The important distinction is that the maximum capacity remains a hard limit, while the minimum has some flexibility.

There is no additional venue fee simply because the number of guests changes. Changes in the total cost come from the actual number of event tickets purchased.

17. How far ahead should you book?

For a standard group event, Glow recommends booking approximately 2–3 weeks ahead.

For a full-festival rental, significantly more planning is required, with at least two months’ notice.

If you’re planning a large corporate event, booking earlier gives more time to coordinate food, AV equipment, entertainment, guest numbers, and other event details.

18. How does group check-in work?

Groups check in at the information booth.

The group organizer can arrive and coordinate the group’s entry from there.

If guests arrive separately, Glow can accommodate that.

19. What makes Glow different from a traditional corporate Christmas party?

The entertainment is already built into the night.

Instead of renting a room and then figuring out how to fill the evening, your guests have an entire Christmas festival to explore.

You can have dinner, give a presentation, hand out awards, or socialize in your private space, then head out into the lights and attractions.

And because employees can bring their families, the event can become more than a work Christmas party. It can be a Christmas experience for the people your employees bring with them, too.
